| Gout |
- We are now enrollling participants to help evaluate the effectiveness and safety of an investigational medicine for preventing gout flares when used in combination with FDA-approved gout medicines. To be considered for participation in the RE-SURGE study, you must be: 18 years of age, have a history of gout and are at risk for a gout flare, be able to, or are already, receiving treatment with Allopurinol, and not currently experiencing a gout flare. Qualified participants will receive study medicine as well as study-related medical evaulations at no cost. Reimbursement for time and travel may also be available.

| Rheumatoid Arthritis Studies |
We have several Rheumatoid Arthritis studies currently enrolling at this time:
- If you have been told in the last 6 months that you have Rheumatoid Arthritis, consider volunteering for a clinical research study. Metroplex Clinical Research Center is currently conducting a clinical research study for Rheumatoid Arthritis. If you are between the ages of 18 and 75 years old, have been diagnosed with RA for 6 months or more and are on a stable dose of Methotrexate you may be eligible. Qualified participants will receive study-related medication and study-related care at no cost. Other eligibility criteria will apply and insurance is not required. - If you are taking Methotrexate for Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), ask your doctor about our clinical research study. MCRC is conducting a Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) clinical research study to test the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug for RA. This study will enroll qualifying participants with active RA who have not responded successfully to treatments. Study staff at the clinic will review additional criteria and study information with you at your first visit. Study participants will not be charged for visits or study-related medical evaluations. You may be eligible to participate if you are at least 18 years old, have active RA, and have been taking Methotrexate. - Are you looking to get control of your arthritis symptoms? Have your Rheumatoid Arthritis symptoms been difficult to control for the past 6 months? If the answer is yes, you may be interested to learn about a clinical research study taking place at Metroplex Clinical Research Center (MCRC). MCRC currently has a study of an investigational oral drug for patients 18 to 75 years old who have been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and who are currently taking Methotrexate. Other eligibility criteria will apply. Qualified participants will receive study-related medication and study-related medical care at no cost. You will also be compensated for your time and travel. - Do you suffer from stiff, painful and inflamed joints? Fatigue and weight loss? The symptoms associated with active Rheumatoid Arthritis can seriously impact your quality of life. MCRC is currently conducting a research study with an investigational therapy for Rheumatoid Arthritis and are looking for male and female participants who are aged 18 years or older, have been diagnosed with active Rheumatoid Arthritis and are currently taking Methotrexate and are willing to attend 10 visits over a 24-month period. If you are eligible for participation, you will receive study medication (or placebo) and all study related medical care at no cost.

| Lupus Studies |
- In a continuing effort to explore potential future options for patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), Metroplex Clinical Research Center would like to inform you of a clinical research study that will test whether an investigational medication may help reduce the signs and symptoms of SLE in patients with and without renal activity (glomerulonephritis). If you are between 18 to 70 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of systemic lupus erythematosus, you may be eligibile to participate. If you qualify for study participation, you will receive: study-related health examinations at no cost and investigational drug or placebo (a substance that looks like the investigational drug but does not contain active ingredients) at no cost. - If you have been diagnosed with System Lupus Erythematosus, or SLE, you know that it is a complex disease in which symptoms can range from mild to severe and that can come and go over time. If you are between 18 and 65 years old and have been diagnosed with SLE consider volunteering for a clinical research study. Metroplex Clinical Research Center (MCRC) is conducting a clinical research study to evaluate the safety and effects of an investigational medication for SLE. Qualified participants will receive study medication and study related medical care at no cost. - Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Study: Were you diagnosed with Lupus more than 6 months ago and are you taking 20 mg or less of Prednisone a day? You may qualify to be a part of this Phase 1 research study to potentially help the advancement of Lupus treatments. Qualified participants will receive study-related health assessments and investigational medication at no charge, and payment for participation.

| Osteoarthritis Studies |
- Is joint pain a part of your daily life? The knee and hip joint pain you feel may be caused by arthritis. If you struggle with joint pain on a daily basis consider volunteering for a clinical research study. To qualify you must be between 40 and 80 years old, have joint pain caused by arthritis and taking medication for pain relief. Other criteria will apply. As a qualified participant you will receive study-related care and insurance is not required. - Osteoarthritis/Rheumatoid Arthritis and Heart Disease~ We are conducting a research study of three approved medications commonly used to treat pain associated with Osteoarthritis or Rheumatoid Arthritis in people who also have or are at high risk for heart disease. You may qualify if you are over the age of 18 and have been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis or Rheumatoid Arthritis, and have controlled diabetes mellitus, heart disease, arterial disease, or are at risk of cardiovascular disease. Medical exams, labs, and study medication will be provided at no cost. Compensation for time and travel will also be provided.
